We make copper busbars from copper foil with a range of thickness between 0.125 mm and 0.5 mm and a range of width from 30 mm to 150 mm. Using this type of foil gives maximum flexibility and is typically used for thermal expansion joints in copper busbar systems, Transformer connections and for rotary connections on High Voltage Switchgear.
The copper foil can be plain (red) copper, or tin plated, or silver plated, or mixed. For example in the picture above the other layers are tin plated.
These power shunts can be made with pressure welded ends as shown in the above picture, or with a wrapped end made from one continuous piece for copper foil, or with an end fitting to clamp the pieces of copper foil, or TIG welded or riveted.
